Who this policy covers
This policy is published by MaskFlare (“MaskFlare,” “we,” “us”). It applies to visitors of maskflare.com, including the free tools under /tools. MaskFlare is in development; this policy will be updated as products reach general availability and start processing customer data under separate, product-specific terms.
What we collect
Information you send us. The Contact page sends the name, email, company, and message you provide directly to our inbox by email, and we send you a short confirmation that it arrived. Submissions aren't stored in a database on our end — they exist as the emails themselves.
Automatic technical data. Like essentially every website, our hosting and content-delivery infrastructure processes standard connection information (IP address, user-agent, timestamps, requested URL) to serve pages and defend against abuse.
Analytics, with your consent. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type. It does not load until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the footer. We don't use analytics data for advertising, and we don't sell it to anyone.
The IP & Fingerprint Exposure Checker. This tool reads signals already visible to your browser and to this server for the current request — your public IP, user agent, screen and GPU information, timezone, and language — and displays them back to you. Nothing the tool reads is stored, logged to a database, or sent to a third party; it exists only in your browser for the length of that page view.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries sent through the Contact page or to hello@maskflare.com.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot this website and its free tools.
- With your consent, to understand aggregate, non-invasive traffic patterns through Google Analytics.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only with infrastructure providers (hosting, email, DNS) strictly as needed to run this site, under their own data-processing terms, and when required by law. If you've accepted analytics, aggregate usage data also goes to Google (Google Analytics), which processes it under Google's own terms. We do not otherwise disclose personal data to third parties.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the conversation. Infrastructure-level connection logs are retained only as long as our hosting provider's default operational window requires. Exposure Checker signals are never stored in the first place, so there is nothing to retain or delete. Google Analytics data, when you've consented to it, is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
Wherever you're located, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@maskflare.com and we'll respond directly. This is a description of how we handle requests today, not a claim of certification under any specific regulatory framework.
Children
This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If how we collect or use data changes — including adding analytics, cookies, or new product data flows — we'll update this page and the effective date above.
