What Is Browser Fingerprint Protection?

Browser fingerprint protection prevents a site from building a stable identifier out of a browser's own characteristics — canvas rendering, installed fonts, screen and hardware attributes — that would otherwise let it recognize the same visitor across sessions without cookies.

Unlike clearing cookies or changing an IP address, fingerprint protection has to actively normalize or mask the signals a browser exposes, since most of them are read passively and can't simply be deleted by the user.

MaskFlare Cloak applies fingerprint protection alongside IP masking in the same session, so a masked request can't be quietly re-identified by its browser signature even after its IP has changed.
