What Is Browser Isolation?
A concise concept explainer with related MaskFlare security context.
- Remote execution
- Safe rendering
- Endpoint protection
Browser isolation executes web page content away from a user's actual device — in the cloud or another isolated environment — so only a safe rendering of the page reaches the endpoint, rather than the page's underlying code.
It's a response to how most breaches that start with a link actually happen: a vulnerability in the browser itself, a malicious download, or a convincing look-alike page that behaves identically to the real thing until it's too late.
MaskFlare Browser offers isolation as a cloud browser, an extension, or a full enterprise browser build, governed by one policy across all three.
